Carlson Creek Vineyard’s Malbec

This was the third stop on our first go at the Scottsdale Wine Trail and we were feeling pretty good at this point. What stood out to me at this tasting room were how the wines were delivered. Instead of bringing 3 or 6 at a time, they asked which ones we’d like to try on the menu and then they brought them one at a time, describing the tasting notes with each one. It kept things a little more separated in my mind and felt less rushed even though no one was rushing us at the others. Additionally, each server had their own tasting notes. So, they weren’t just regurgitating what was written down for them. I have no idea how the other places do it, by the way. We just got into a conversation about it with our server and it came up.

I really liked the vibe of this place. It’s only indoor seating, but it was comfortable. We bought a bottle of Malbec home with us.
