The Best Time of Year to Have a Bachelorette Party in Scottsdale

Bachelorette parties happen year round here in Scottsdale, Arizona! That said, there may be some reasons to choose one season over another depending on your budget and weather preference. I’ll break it down by season so you can decide when is best for your Scottsdale before the veil bash.

Winter

Months: December -February

Winters are great for Bachelorette parties because the weather is nice, especially if you are coming from a cold State. It’s the desert, so the temperatures will still drop at night making it chilly so bring a jacket and look for a house with a fire pit. Swimming will still be chilly even with a heated pool. Remember it’s heated, but not a hot tub.

For the most budget friendly winter getaway, try booking your stay a weekend or two before or after the Holidays, such as the beginning of December (after Thanksgiving) and just after New Year’s. • Pro Tip: While hiking during the day will feel great, it will be crowded because everyone else has the same idea. Go as early as possible or choose a less traveled trail.

Spring is where it’s at in Scottsdale. The weather is fantastic while the rest of the country is still shivering. The temps outside the pool are better, so swimming is more enjoyable than the winter.

Spring Training is all of March, the weather is awesome and many people are on Spring Break into April, so this is the most expensive time to be in Scottsdale. Prices can reach 4x’s the prices of low season. But, the weather is worth it! March and April are the highest of high season. In May, temperatures climb and the events come to a close, so the prices start to drop making this a great month to come to Scottsdale for warm weather and shoulder season prices.

Summer

Months: June - August

• Weather: High in the 100-110s, Lows 80s-90s (Monsoon season)

• Budget: Low Season $

Good to know:

• Pool Heated: No way. Get it cooled if that’s an option but you’ll be fine if it isn’t.

• Fire Pit: No way

• Pros: Low cost + certain adventures only available in summer + less crowded

• Cons: Hot + not as many people here if you see that as a con + some outdoor activities not available, such as hot air balloon rides

• Pro Tip: Do all outdoor activities such as hiking at sunrise before it gets too hot

Summer is HOT. Temps can get to 110+ which sounds ridiculous, but as they say “it’s a dry heat”. It’s not going to feel like the 90s of the Midwest unless there is a storm which happens here and there in Monsoon Season. Storms in Scottsdale come in rough but leave quite quickly and the sun is back out again. Pool time feels awesome when it is 100 degrees! If hiking is a must, do it very early around sunrise. Some things only happen in the summer in Scottsdale, such as tubing or kayaking down the Salt River. Top 5 Adventures For Summer in Scottsdale

Prices in the summer are much much lower than high season making this a great budget friendly option. You also don’t need the pool heated so you’re saving there as well. Old Town Scottsdale Entertainment District is less crowded.

Fall

Fall is sneaky here in the valley. September still feels like summer. October and November feel great, but some may be surprised how chilly it gets at night, forgetting that it’s the desert and that’s how it rolls. As the temperatures start to drop, some outdoor activities start up again such as hot air balloon rides. Hiking is safer to do during the day, rather than having to get it in early morning.

Prices are still summer low in September with school starting and temps still in the 100s. October the prices begin to creep up as some events start up and the temps are more reasonable. November prices are similar to October with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend. Fall is a good time to visit since it’s shoulder season. Look for great low prices just before and after Thanksgiving.
